We are Anna and Eric, the creators of L.ī.Q. Inc. (which phonetically reads "like"). Our mission is to develop products through research, development, and testing (which often transforms our kitchen into a disaster zone) that will bring joy back to your cooking and significantly reduce your post-cook clean-up time. The seed of "there has to be a better way" started with our many weekly cook-at-home date nights.

It's funny how sometimes even the simplest purée or the blandest meals can still cause an epic disaster. In an attempt to minimize the time lost on cleanup, we bought all our competitors' products, but didn't find one that would do the job right. That's why we decided to make it ourselves!

After hundreds of back and forth emails, dozens of drawings, 3D models, re-designs, and multiple prototypes, followed by a global pandemic and a shipping crisis, SplatterDōm v.1 was finally released in January 2022.

SplatterDōm is an adjustable and reversible product that can be used unopened, partially-opened, or fully opened, depending on your cooking style and protection needs. It is designed to fit most 10-inch (with a range of 9.1-10.63 inches) and 12-inch (with a range of 11.38-12.65 inches) pots and pans, though some brands may fall outside of these ranges. It includes a ventilated lid that can sit on top or inside the SplatterDōm.

Unlike our competition, SplatterDōm does not need to be lifted to stir, mix, flip, or add ingredients to your cooking. Its handles allow for easy carrying from one cooking device to another, or from the stovetop to the sink or dishwasher.

SplatterDōm is made of thick, food-grade silicone and has exceptional structural integrity, meaning it will not topple over, sink into your food, or melt during the cooking process. It is FDA compliant, 100% BPA-free, and has no additives. It can withstand temperatures of 400°F to 450°F (204°C to 232°C), and is microwave safe.

SplatterDōm is collapsible, compact, and easy to clean. It folds flat to fit neatly inside your drawer or can be hung on the kitchen backsplash. It is dishwasher safe, and for extreme messes, you can place a fully opened SplatterDōm on top of your cooking device in the sink, fill it with hot soapy water, and let it stand for a faster clean.

SplatterDōm can be used with its accompanying lid to boil water for pasta, rice, and other starches. Once the lid is removed, it can be used for frying, boiling, searing, and sautéing. The lid can also be set aside and used as a resting spot for your cooking spoon, spatula, or the like. SplatterDōm's unique design allows for heat to be reduced while cooking, potentially saving you money on your energy bill.
